Undergraduate Spotlight:
Lacretia Taylor, Gamma Phi Beta
Lacretia
Taylor graduated in May
with a Bachelor's degree in
Communication and an emphasis in
public relations. Since coming to
WSU, Lacretia has enjoyed her
involvement in extra curricular
activities within the Greek community
as well as in other campus
groups.
Within the Greek community, Lacretia
served as a sophomore President for
the Beta Sigma chapter of Gamma Phi
Beta. She also served as the
Panhellenic President last year,
focusing on projects such as creating
the Greek Ambassador High School
Outreach program, and developing
strategies for improving the safety
of students on College Hill. Her
proudest accomplishments include
participating on the Student Advisory
Board for University President Elson
S. Floyd and creating an improvement
plan for the City of Pullman
regarding lighting in the College
Hill area.
Last spring, Lacretia remained
involved with her collegiate chapter
and tutored at the WSU Writing
Center. She volunteered weekly at the
community babysitting program, P.S. I
Love You, and was an active member of
the Jay Rockey chapter of Public
Relations Students' Society of
America. Lacretia looks forward
to traveling as a Collegiate
Leadership Consultant for her
international sorority, Gamma Phi
Beta, during the 2008-2009 academic
year.
