Message from the Director

As a new benefit to our much appreciated Friends of the Museum of Art, we are pleased to start offering MOA NOW! This monthly membership communication is intended to be a quick update or inside track on what is in the works at the Museum. You'll find information on our current and upcoming exhibitions, exciting events taking place at the Museum and all the items we have available for purchase such as the new Gaylen Hansen book.

We hope you find MOA NOW beneficial and enjoy the "no-nonsense" format of the communication. We look forward to bringing you plenty of great exhibitions and programming in the near future. So take a look at our new communication tool and find out what the Museum is offering NOW!

Sincerely,

Chris Bruce

High School Portraits

(detail)

Marilyn Lysohir, High School Portraits, 1968, Good Girls, Sharon, Pennsylvania, 2007

May 22 - July 21

Marilyn Lysohir remembers the girls she graduated from high school with. Her ceramic portraits cross high school yearbooks with Roman memorials for an eerily nostalgic viewing experience.

Fine Arts Faculty Exhibition

August 17 - September 22

This biennial exhibit is an opportunity to celebrate the creativity of both emeriti and current Fine Arts department faculty members. The exhibit includes a wide variety of works from the artists who provide inspiration to WSU students daily, allowing them to observe their mentors put skill and theory into practice.
